Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, is a dynamic visionary, focused on propelling India’s defence ecosystem into a realm of self-sufficiency and Aatmanirbharta. With an unwavering commitment to indigenous design, development, innovation, and manufacturing, Ashish leads strategic efforts to reduce India’s dependence on defence imports while enhancing its international standing.

Since joining the Adani Group in 2014, Ashish has also served as the President of Strategy & Chairman’s Office. In this role, he worked closely with Group Chairman Mr. Gautam Adani across the portfolio of businesses. He spearheaded the Adani Group’s agenda of growth with sustainability, aiming to create a 100- year organization that touches lives, nourishes communities, and inspires the future.

Under his leadership, Adani Defence & Aerospace has forged strategic collaborations with credible partners, MSMEs, and startups, fostering a resilient network of capabilities and nurturing indigenous expertise. This approach not only strengthens the indigenous defence industry ecosystem but also fosters innovation and technological advancements.

Ashish’s strategic vision encompasses critical areas such as Unmanned Aerial Systems, AWACS/ ISR, Counter Drone Systems, Missiles, Kamikaze Drones, Ammunition, Small Arms, Artillery Guns, and Rotary Platforms alongside establishing robust (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) MRO & aircraft service solutions within India, ensuring self-reliance, particularly during times of contingency.

Moreover, he is dedicated to advancing capabilities in emerging domains like Cyber Warfare, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, recognizing their pivotal role in modern defence strategies and ensuring Adani Defence & Aerospace remains at the forefront of defence innovation.

Beyond his role as CEO, Ashish serves as a key member of Adani’s Group Executive Council and sits on the boards of AdaniConneX and Adani Gas & IOC joint venture, showcasing his multifaceted leadership capabilities and strategic acumen.

With a background in international markets and a decade-long tenure at the global management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, he holds a Computer Science Engineering degree and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. He has also been recognized as India’s Top 40 under 40 leaders by the Economic Times and Spencer Stuart and CEO of the year (Defence & Aerospace) in 2022 by The Economic Times.
