Brief Profile:

Dr.-Ing. Anupam Kumar Singh is Professor in Civil and Infrastructure Engineering at Adani University Ahmedabad. His expertise is in Infrastructure planning, water & environmental management, and system sustainability. He has over 30-years of experience in academia, research, and industry both in India and Abroad.

Prof Singh taught courses in infrastructure planning and management, geospatial modeling, building information modeling, sustainable buildings, environmental impact assessment, health safety and environmental sustainability. He is well versed with outcome-based education, and uses project based experiential learnings, case study methods, and active in-class activities as pedagogical tools. His current research and consulting include sustainability of civil infrastructure, project planning and appraisals, water and environment engineering, and applications of emerging technologies such as AI &ML, IoT, BIM, and Geo-spatial analysis for decision making.

Prior to joining Adani University, Prof Singh was associated with Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT Germany), Nirma University, Pandit Deendayal Energy University (formerly PDPU), JK Lakshmipat University, Indus University, and institutions CGIAR- International Water Management Institute Colombo Sri Lanka, University of Karlsruhe (TH) Germany, Technical University of Szczecin Poland, School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi, and Government of Madhya Pradesh- Ministry of Housing and Environment.

Prof. Singh was awarded with Indian Science Congress Association- Platinum jubilee lecture award in Engineering sciences, Institution of Engineers India, Rajasthan state centre Jaipur- Outstanding engineering services to society award, Indian Society of Technical Education- Best engineering college teacher award Gujarat State, Institution of Engineers India Kolkata- Prof Jai Krishna memorial lecture award in Civil Engineering, IEEE-ACM Udaipur & CSI Jaipur Chapter- Star Ikon award, Institution of Engineers India, Gujarat state centre Ahmedabad- Prof VJ Joni memorial lecture award, Stockholm International Water Institute Sweden- Best poster award, and Association of Agro-meteorologist Best paper/ poster award.
