Brief Profile:
Dr. Aadil Ummar Zaman is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Management Sciences at Adani University. Prior to that, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Economic Sciences at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Bhopal. His research primarily focuses on the performance analysis of decision-making units (DMUs), with a particular emphasis on efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in cooperative and regional rural banks in India.
He has published extensively in renowned journals, including the Indian Economic Journal, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, International Journal of Rural Management, Studies in Microeconomics, and Asian Economics Letters. His scholarly contributions include studies on technical and scale efficiency, green and sustainable productivity decomposition, and the convergence in total factor productivity.
Dr. Zaman holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Aligarh Muslim University, where his research focused on the performance of cooperative banks in Jammu and Kashmir. He has also taught a range of courses, including Principles of Economics, Econometrics, and Money, Banking and Financial Markets, demonstrating his passion for both research and teaching.
