Brief Profile:

Dr. A. P. Vyas, Registrar, Adani University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat has a blend of Industrial, academic, academic administration, and administrative experience of total more than 32 years. Out of which 28 years of teaching, academic administration, and administrative experience including 11 years of teaching guiding, and research experience at Post Graduate level. He has a notable number of publications in international journals and three books and two book chapters on biodiesel published by international publishers in his name. He has a patent on his name in Biodiesel production. He is also on a panel of reviewers for prestigious international journals published by Elsevier Science, Springer, Tailor, and Francis, the American Chemical Society, etc. He is the recipient of the Best Degree Engineering Teacher award for the year 2013 by the Indian Society for Technical Education, New Delhi. Three M. Tech students guided by him for their dissertation work won the “National ISTE-IPCL Award for Best PG Thesis in Chemical Engineering”. He has guided several Ph.D. students, and few have completed the Ph.D. He is a recipient of the OHSSAI Leadership Award – OHSSAI 6th Annual HSE Excellence and Sustainability Awards 2021 under the education category. He also received the “Asia Pacific Achievers Award for Education Excellence” by Global Achievers Foundation on 15th June 2014 at Tashkent (Uzbekistan) in absentia. He has also received “Registrar of the Year 2022” award announced by the Universal Mentors Association which was awarded in an event organized by Universal Mentors Association in association with Brainwonders under the 2nd edition of Higher Education Innovation and Technology Summit 2022 on 27-8-2022 at New Delhi. Dr. A. P. Vyas has been shortlisted from the 500 applicants across India. He is an executive committee member of IIChE-ARC for the year 2010-2012 and 2018-24. He is also a member of Gujarat State Council, Institution of Engineers (India), Gujarat State Centre for 2014-2016 and 2022-2024. He has headed a number of statutory and other committees at Nirma University and other universities and institutes. He was Chief editor of the journal “NUJET” published by Nirma University. He is a life member of IIChE, ISTE, DDITAA, NITAA. He is a Co-opted member of the Association of Chemical Technologists (India). He has been declared a fellow of Institutions of Engineers for the Chemical Engineering Division. He was nominated as a Senior Citizen for the “Public Hearing Committee for Environment Prevention- Ahmedabad District” of Gujarat State. He was on the panel by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) for scrutinizing the projects for financial assistance. He was invited to the Judges’ panel for Anveshan (National search for innovation) by the Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).
