Introduction

Infrastructure is the backbone of economic development. Roads, bridges, airports, ports, railways, power systems, and modern cities drive national growth and improve quality of life. Globally, the construction sector contributes nearly 9% to GDP, while in India the construction and real estate sector accounts for over 30% of total investments and employs nearly 16% of the workforce.

India is currently undertaking one of the largest infrastructure expansion programs in the world through initiatives such as the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan, Bharatmala, Sagarmala, and Dedicated Freight Corridors. To sustain economic growth, India will require nearly US$ 4.5 trillion in infrastructure investments by 2040.

However, infrastructure projects often face challenges such as time delays, cost overruns, and coordination complexities. Recognizing this, NITI Aayog has emphasized the need for skilled professionals trained in both engineering and project management, supported by initiatives such as the Indian Infrastructure Body of Knowledge (InBoK) and the National Institute of Chartered Program and Project Professionals (NICPP).

The Integrated Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Project Management program is designed to address this need by combining technical expertise with management and leadership skills. Supported by the infrastructure development experience of the Adani Group, the program prepares graduates to contribute to modern, sustainable infrastructure development in India and globally.

About the Program

The Integrated B.Tech (Civil and Infrastructure Engineering) + MBA (Project Management) program at Adani University is a five-year program designed to prepare future professionals who can both design and manage large infrastructure projects. The program combines strong engineering fundamentals with project management and business skills, reflecting the growing need for multidisciplinary expertise in the infrastructure sector.

The curriculum blends technical learning with practical exposure, covering areas such as infrastructure planning, geospatial analysis, tunnel engineering, metro systems, construction management, infrastructure finance, risk management, and strategic management. Students also gain exposure to modern technologies shaping the future of infrastructure, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), Digital Twins, AI/ML, IoT, and Smart Infrastructure Systems.

With a strong focus on sustainability, green construction, and smart cities, the program prepares graduates to address the environmental challenges of modern infrastructure development.

Through industry exposure and an integrated engineering–management approach, the program equips students to pursue leadership roles in the evolving global infrastructure sector.

Admission Eligibility

  • Candidate must complete higher secondary education (10+2 grade or equivalent) in science stream or equivalent from any recognized board with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as subjects having min 45 % marks or equivalent grade in aggregate.
  • JEE (Main) or GUJCET or In case of vacant seats, Adani University UG Entrance Test (AUET 2026) score will be considered for admission.
  • For Diploma to Degree admissions
    • Diploma in any discipline with a minimum of 45% marks, or an equivalent grade in aggregate.
    • Qualified in DDCET, or any other recognized equivalent exam, or successful completion of an entrance test or interview in case of vacant seats.

NEP-2020 Compliance (Entry/Exit Plans)

The National Education Policy 2020 has been formulated as a student centric policy. One of the important aspects of the policy is that the engagement hours of the student should be converted to various exit options based on the accrued credits by the student.

  • The student shall receive a BSc degree in CIE upon completion of 120-130 cumulative credits at the end of third year.
  • The student shall receive a B. Tech degree in CIE upon completion of 160 and above cumulative credits at the end of the fourth year.
  • The student shall receive a B. Tech degree in CIE with a minor in Project Management upon completion of 176-180 cumulative credits at the end of the fourth year.
  • There are exit options available at the end of the first and second year of study as well.

Eligibility and Selection Process

  • The candidates desiring to join integrated BTech with MBA in Civil Infrastructure Engineering must have minimum 60% marks or equivalent in 10+2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or any other course conducted by a recognized board, like central boards such as CBSE, ICSE/ CISCE, any State boards, or international boards such as IB, Cambridge board. Students who have given international exams like SAT are also encouraged to apply. Due to overwhelming response, we may have to enhance the cutoff. Mere qualifying marks at 10+2 level may not guarantee admission to this program. The University retains the right to choose the best candidates out of the large number of aspirants. Students are encouraged to either have a passport or apply for it, to participate in semester-abroad programs around the world.
