Biography:

Dr. Mihir Velani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Energy Engineering with over 14 years of experience spanning research, industry, and academia. He has contributed to research and development in transformer bushing insulation systems and product development. In academia, he has served as Head of the Department and played a key role in developing laboratories for high-voltage engineering, electrical machines, power system protection, and simulation. He has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects, including High Voltage Engineering, EHVAC Transmission, Power System Design, Electrical Machines, and Power Markets. His teaching approach incorporates problem-based, blended, experiential, and digital learning methods.
