Dr. Baishali Mitra

Biography:

Dr. Baishali Mitra is an educator in Strategic Communication and Corporate Communication with over 25 years of academic experience. She specializes in grooming postgraduate students, corporate executives, and aspiring entrepreneurs. Her research interests center on the dynamics of innovative communication strategies and their application in contemporary organizational contexts.

She holds a double Master’s degree in Linguistics and English Literature and earned her Ph.D. in English from Osmania University. She has also completed a one-year Executive Programme in Communication Strategies for Corporate Leaders from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. In addition, she is a certified Business English Certificate (BEC) Trainer accredited by the British Council and holds a certification in Corporate Communication from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies.

Her UGC-funded research on mobile-enabled language learning has contributed to promoting anytime, anywhere learning and enhancing learner engagement. She has successfully completed a NITI Aayog–funded research project examining women’s and children’s malnutrition in Chhattisgarh, India, contributing evidence-based insights for policy and social development. Dr. Mitra designs and delivers high-impact Management Development Programmes for junior, middle and senior management, focusing on persuasion, negotiation, corporate etiquette, and cross-cultural communication to enhance leadership effectiveness and strategic influence.
