Kiran KR

Kiran K R

Designation: Chief Digital Officer (Adani Renewables & Adani New Industries)

Biography:

Kiran K R is one of the young leaders shaping India’s energy ecosystem and a prominent voice in digital transformation for large-scale energy infrastructure. He works where enterprise IT, operational technology and renewable energy meet. He leads the digital reinvention of renewable energy operations spanning more than 6 GW of annual construction and over 20+ GW of assets under management. This includes Khavda, the world’s largest renewable energy plant.

He takes transformation from boardroom digital agendas to execution on the ground. He builds end-to-end digital value chains that streamline EPC workflows, optimise O&M delivery and turn infrastructure into self-aware, high-performance assets.

A strong advocate of AI-first operations, he conceived and operationalised GreenEnergy.ai, an enterprise AI platform that uses intelligent agents and digital twins to optimise capex rollout. His programmes apply machine learning, cloud-native platforms and IoT to SCADA, weather modelling, real-time data lakes and predictive maintenance. He also built a hybrid forecasting system with a team of 15 weather scientists, which improves accuracy across more than 10 GW of assets. He champions generative AI, autonomous agents and edge intelligence as the foundation of future-ready, self-optimising energy systems.

He governs enterprise IT, cybersecurity, analytics and mobility blueprints. He has strengthened OT/IT cyber environments and set up mobile-data connectivity across remote project sites. His expertise covers IT/OT strategy, EPC and O&M digitalisation, and change management across diverse teams and geographies.
