On 21th October, 2026, ICT department, FEST, Adani University organized an expert talk on “IoT Security and Forensics in the Era of Industry 4.0” by Dr. Ujjaval Patel, NFSU, Gandhinagar for 5th and 7th-semester CSE and ICT undergraduates. The session demystified IoT technologies, Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), and the CIA Triad. He contrasted general IoT with Industrial IoT (IIoT), detailing data flows from sensors to PLCs, relays, HMIs, and SCADA. Dr. Patel highlighted critical vulnerabilities associated with cyberspace emphasizing securing IoT hardware, networks, software, infrastructure, and data. Covering OWASP Top 10 issues, attacks, and remedies, the talk successfully illuminated IIoT challenges, inspiring the undergraduates for exploring future research.
