Dr. Namita Pragya

Designation: Deputy Dean (Academics) and Assistant Professor


Brief Profile:

Dr. Namita Pragya is Assistant Professor at Adani University and heads the Centre of Excellence in Energy. Dr. Pragya is also Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Adani University. She has completed her Ph.D. from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, in Renewable energy. She has done her MBA with a specialization in Oil and Gas from Pandit Deen Dayal Energy University, Gandhinagar. She has 10 years of experience, which includes 4 years of industry experience and 6 years of teaching experience (various energy domain subjects including fossils, renewables, and environmental management). She is also a Certified Lead Auditor for Environmental Management Systems (EMS 14001:2015) from Bureau Veritas.

Her areas of interest and work include:

  • Study of various energy systems
  • Carbon footprint, Energy footprint & Water footprint using both Greenhouse gas protocol and ISO 14064.
  • Environmental Impact Assessment, Climate change, and sustainability studies,
  • Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), including LCA tools and software, and specializing in LCAs of Energy systems
