From January 9–11, 2025, Ahmedabad’s Centre for Environment Education hosted a landmark 3-day International Conference themed “Educating for Sustainability Action.” Prof. (Dr.) Ravi P. Singh, Provost of Adani University, proudly represented us as a panelist during a thought-provoking discussion on “Sustainability on Campus for Transformative Learning!”
During the session, Prof. (Dr.) Singh shared invaluable insights about the role of education in driving sustainability and employability. Key highlights included: Bridging the Curriculum Gap: He stressed the disconnect between high school curricula and higher education eligibility requirements, encouraging a smoother transition to advanced learning.
Aligning Academia with Industry: To ensure employability, Dr. Singh called for innovative mechanisms to bridge the gap between academic training and industry needs. Sustainability in Practice: He emphasized that sustainability should not stop at being a subject in the curriculum—it must become a way of life on campuses. True transformation comes by embedding it into daily practice and assessing students on their sustainability habits.
Dr. Singh’s vision is a testament to Adani University’s commitment to fostering transformative learning experiences that prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow. Let’s pledge to integrate sustainability into every step we take – on campus, in industry, and in life!
