Adani University and AHRD now have an understanding to offer certification courses, executive education, and higher degree research programs, including doctoral degrees.
An idea that inspires towards problem-solving and the knowledge that drives
innovation shall lead to productivity and ultimately, the career growth of an aspiring
engineer.
With the vision to provide a platform to their students, Adani University, in association
with IQM Corporation, organized an intra-college Hackathon on 12th & 13th November
2022. Hackathon relatively spans over a shorter period such as 24 hours; it is also
referred as a social coding competition where individuals get engaged into a rapid and
collaborative engineering approach to create or build a potential solution of the given
challenge.
Each team consisted of four students; having different skill sets gave them confidence
to select the complexity of problem. The problems were categorized into beginner,
intermediate and professional level. It was important for the students to get the zest
of how Hackathon would work, what the expectations would be, and how they should
work together as a team. Hence a 3-hour preliminary assessment was carried out for
43 participating teams on 10th November 2022. The top 22 teams were shortlisted for
the final competition.
Participants had 24 hours to come up with the solution to the given problems. IQM
Corporation had designed the challenges as follows:
Beginner Level
Bridging the gap between interns & companies
OR
Waste for some is best for some
Intermediate Level
Optimized bus route management
OR
News aggregator
Professional Level
Citizen grievance redressal system
The participants planned out their solution through critical thought process, brainstorming, teamwork, and outcome-based model creation. With each passing hour, the competition kept getting better and better. The participants enjoyed the coding aptitude and thrilling environment of healthy competition. And towards the end of the event, the participants could be seen to have accomplished a major task and excited to demonstrate the developed prototype.
The evaluation panel consisted of subject matter experts from Adani University and industry experts from IQM Corporation who rigorously evaluated the complete approach of problem-solving. Everyone appreciated the new ideas for the solutions to the given problems. The winner and runner-up teams were announced and awarded.
Beyond the sleepless night and 34 hours of endless enthusiasm turned out to be an experience and learning for lifetime. Adani University is determined to provide more such opportunities for the student fraternity.
