  • Public Transportation Strategy for Dehradun and evaluating alternative solutions

Projects for Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), USA

  • Conducted large-scale traffic simulation and data analysis for developing disaster management strategies.
  • Conducted large-scale data analysis for developing econometric models for the city to ascertain optimal highway pricing.
  • Conducted traffic analysis at the intersections in the city of Chicago for signal optimization for increasing user safety in the network.

Project for Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), USA

  • Developed crash reduction factors (CRF) and safety performance functions (SPF) for the state of Illinois for increasing the safety on the highway network. Embedded the developed functions in the system mainframe along with a user interface.

Projects for Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), USA

  • Developed safety performance functions for incorporating roadway safety hardware performance in risk-based highway safety analysis for the state highway network.
  • Developed a stochastic optimization model for project selection based on trade-off analysis for the state of Wisconsin. The budget constraints limit the number of projects possible to be implemented in any fiscal year and the model was developed to aide in the process of selecting the best sub-set of projects for budget optimization and maximizing the user benefits for the highway network in the state.

Project for the city of Chongqing, Yuzhong district, China

  • Developed a long-term sustainable development strategy for the transportation network in the city of Chongqing for 10, 20 and 40 years collaborating with the Reason Foundation (USA) and the Government of Peoples Republic of China.

Project for Indiana Department of Transportation (InDOT), USA

  • The proposed projects pool was analyzed and trade-off analysis was conducted to ascertain the optimal sub-set of projects to be implemented for maximization of user benefits and system optimization.
