Dr. Jignesh Thaker

Biography:

Dr. Jignesh Thaker is the Dean (I/c) – Student Affairs and an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Adani University. He is instrumental in strengthening the student ecosystem by fostering student engagement, welfare and holistic development across the university. He holds an M.Tech and Ph.D. from SVNIT, Surat, and an MBA in Business Analytics from BITS Pilani. He was awarded a Gold Medal for securing first rank in his postgraduate studies. His accolades include the Rashtriya Vidya Gaurav Puraskar, SERB Young Scientist Award, and the Pedagogical Innovation Award (GTU Innovation Sankul Awards). With over 15 years of experience spanning industry, research, and academia, Dr. Thaker has published 40+ research articles in reputed national and international journals, books, and conference proceedings. He is currently guiding two Ph.D. scholars in the field of Fluid Dynamics and actively collaborates with Adani Group industries through consultancy, training and internship initiatives. As the SSIP Coordinator, he is strengthening the university’s innovation, startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem. He remains deeply committed to nurturing young leaders and driving excellence in higher education.
