Brief Profile:
Dr. Sanra R is an Assistant Professor of Communication at Adani University. She completed her PhD from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, under the supervision of Dr. Aparna N. She holds a Master’s in English and Comparative Literature from Pondicherry University and a Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature from the University of Kerala.
Her doctoral thesis investigated the representation of childhood in the works of contemporary African American women writers. The study explores the revisionist accounts of marginalized childhood experiences. She is particularly interested in the narrative gaze of children and representations of trauma and resilience in contemporary cultural texts.
Dr. Sanra’s works have appeared in various international journals. She has presented her research at various international conferences, such as the New Directions in the Humanities Conference, the Suffolk Storytelling Conference, and the International Conference on Childhood Studies. As a teaching assistant at IIT Ropar, she has also contributed to literary and communication courses offered by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences.
