Brief Profile:

Prof. Sunil Jha is Associate Professor in Physics and Machine Learning and Associate Dean (Research) at Adani University. His expertise is in the area of Applied Physics and Machine Learning for Health, Energy, and Agriculture. He has over 11 years of experience in academia.

He has been teaching Physics, Basic Electronics, Computer Programming, Signals and Systems at Adani University using hands-on practice, simulations, case methods, projects, and in-class activities. In past, he taught Machine Learning, Project management, Server-Side Programming, Software Engineering, Non-Linear Waves, Pattern Recognition, Data Mining, etc. His current research areas include Soil Physics, Quantum Machine Learning, Nano-informatics, Health-informatics, Agro-informatics, and Renewable Energy. He is the author of two book chapters, two patents, one textbook, and more than 80 SCI articles in the journal of repute. He is actively working as a reviewer of several prestigious journals (IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, MDPI). He worked as publication chair and program committee member of several international conferences. He worked as a leading guest editor of two SCI journals. He presented keynote speeches at several international conferences in Chia, and Czech Republic.

Prior to joining Adani University, he worked as Associate Professor at the School of Computer and Software, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing, China between 2017-2021. He worked as Assistant Professor at the University of Information Technology and Management, Rzeszow, Poland between 2016-2017 and at the University of Information Science and Technology, Ohrid, North Macedonia between 2015-2016. He worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea between 2014-2015 and at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan between 2012-2014.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, a Master of Science degree in Physics from VBS Purvanchal University, India, and a Ph.D. in Physics from Banaras Hindu University, India.
